Ketelmeer project involves removal of up to 20 million m3 of polluted silt from a 350-hectare
Description:
lake. Pollutuion is Class 4 (highest rating in Holland), including heavy metals, PAC, PCB, etc.
Project includes removal of polluted silt, 20- to 40-cm thick, and capping with 0.5 m of clean
sand. Special heads (scoophead, sweephead) were used to provide accuracy, minimum spillage,
and low turbidity.
