Description:
The White Rock Lake, Dallas' main water supply, the largest municipal lake in the United States,
will require removal of 2,630,000 yd3 of silt, debris, and vegetation . The contractor, Oscar
Renda Contracting, is using an 18-in. C.S. dredge. Dredge pump is driven by a 1,500-HP DC
motor. The 24-in. steel discharge pipeline is 104,000 ft long with only two booster pumps.
Disposal site is an old quarry.
